Barclays Kelpies' dogs are well travelled throughout Australia and overseas.
Domestically we prefer to send our dogs via air where possible using Dogtainers or on road with DTE Transport.
When sending our dogs overseas we use and recommend Jetpets.
Domestic Travel
If you need your dog delivered we are happy to arrange all the freight. This cost will be added to the final price of the dog.
We prefer where possible to send your dogs via air as it is quicker and less stressful for the dog. Cost wise it can be cheaper than by road depending on the airfares at the time.
Dogtainers have offices in most locations and can provide all the paperwork and crates needed to get your dog to you safely.
DTE transport has been providing road transport for our dogs for many years without any problems. They mainly service the Sydney to Melbourne route.
International Travel
Sending a dog overseas can seem like a stressful exercise. We have sent dogs to New Zealand and Europe with Jetpets and found it to be a smooth experience.
We can arrange all the veterinary checks, vaccinations, AQIS requirements and bookings with Jetpets. We charge a nominal handling fee to cover our administration costs plus whatever the cost to fly the dog to it's destination. We are happy to work with a booking agent of your choice.
There are some countries that require more extensive vaccination programs such as Rabies and therefore longer quarantine periods. Australia is a Rabies free country however, some airlines stopover at countries that are not Rabies free which is why in cases where the dog is going to the UK the vaccination is a necessity.
As with any transportation of an animal, our main priority is that the dog gets to its' destination safely with as little amount of stress.
We like to follow up with you to ensure your dog has arrived healthy and happy.
